Dear Judy,
Many things have changed,
especially in the sports world, since you left. The Phillies,
who had already printed World Series tickets, lost eight
in a row and dropped to third place. And, believe it
or not, the Rams clobbered the Forty-Niners yesterday.
We have shown your letter
to many of our friends, all of whom have gotten a big
laugh out of it, due to your categorizing the French
as cranks and shovers. Maybe you should be a writer after
all.
